Story: The Doctor's Wife
Written By: Neil Gaiman
Length: 45 Minutes
Year: 2011
Really good. This bizarre and thought provoking episode takes twists and turns and has plenty of good mind bending moments, as well as a good look at what the TARDIS is, and what it is to the Doctor.
The performances are solid, and the creep factor is way up there. This is a much darker season than last year, and while the previous outing wasn't nearly as exciting or dark as this one, it still had a bit of the darkness to it. This one is all around dark and creepy, yet funny and exciting.
Idris was really wonderfully performed and the villain of "The House" is cool. It was a solid outing that more than made up for the average-ness of last week's episode...and added a ton of interesting ideas to the whole universe and TARDIS thing.
Plus fanboy moments: the old TARDIS set! More sets for the TARDIS! Fun!
