Wow. First let me say I loved it, it s a great follow up to the opener, and answers SOME of the questions posed in that episode but certainly not all...and adds so many new questions that will clearly get answers later that it is almost hard to keep track of what you wanted to be answered.
Davies was this bombastic wonderful mad man who gave us big crazy stories...but then there is Moffat who gives us these crazy mind-bending timey-wimey mysterious stuff. I love that we are getting a whole new crazy look at this wonderful series.
Then there's that ending...holy crap. WHAT! WHAT? I mean...(SPOILERS TO FOLLOW) the little girl just starts regenerating and Moffat just says "haha see you in 5 weeks for THAT to get followed up on. Not to mention things like some random woman with an eye patch, whether or not Amy is pregnant (the screens flipping back from positive to negative: WHAT!), whether or not we will see the Silence again, and of course...who IS River Song.
It is going to be a great mid-season finale, I can already tell.
