Palmer & Grayling

Story: Hide
Written By: Neil Cross
Length: 45 Minutes
Year: 2013

Neil Cross, who had his first Who story air earlier this season, returns with another strong outing in "Hide" a 70s style ghost story.  I don't think is gonna be this year's or even this season as a whole's best episode, but is a solid creeper with some genuine creeps and scares and an enjoyable sense of style as well.

I like the little twists at the end too, with the Doctor realizing that it isn't a ghost story they've been in, but a love story, and I also liked that the Doctor didn't just come to this haunted house to have a ghostly adventure, but because he had the ulterior motive of finding the psychic if she senses anything odd about Clara.

Ultimately this is a classic scary episode of Who, a fun little creeper. This has been a pretty solid season, going all the way back to the first half with the Ponds in the fall of last year.  So glad the show is in such good shape for the 50th year.
