The Queen of Years

Story: The Rings of Akhaten
Written By: Neil Cross
Length: 45 Minutes
Year: 2013

After visiting different milestone's in Clara's life, from her parents meeting to her birth, and growing up, up to her mom's death, the Doctor returns to take Clara anywhere she wants to go, having found nothing in her past history to help him figure out the mystery of who or what she is, and how he could've met he three times and seen her die twice already.

He takes her to a faraway alien system during a big festival in which a little girl must sing a song to their God, and as you'd expect things go awry and it is up to the Doctor and his new companion to save the day.  It is a well-executed episode all around, some fun stuff early on, and some more sentimental and moving story points later on...with some of Murray Gold's best musical stuff in the series.  Really lovely stuff.

I liked this episode, I thought it was well written and did a nice job of further developing Clara's character, with a nice nutty Who plot to carry it all along.
