Story: Good as Gold
Written By: The Children of Ashdene School
Length: 3 Minutes
Year: 2012
This mini-episode of "Doctor Who" was written by three students from Ashdene School as part of a Blue Peter contest, similar to the "Doctor Who Confidential" contest that brought "Death is the Only Answer" to the screens after the last series ended. This one is actually a little better than that one was, but it is still clearly just a throwaway thing written by children for fun. Doesn't really matter how good it is story or dialogue wise, as it is just to give the kids a little cheer.
So good on the students who wrote this, it was well written enough to give us all a little extra Matt Smith & Karen Gillan hilarity. I just enjoyed getting a bit more Doctor Who before the show would properly return.
NEXT TIME: The Ponds
