Fallen Angel

Gryffen learns the location of a crashed spacecraft which could hold the key to making his STM device work properly. Problem is, he has to leave his house and travel to the frozen wasteland that is Canada in order to retrieve it.  He asks for a special suit from Jorji's mom in order to achieve his goals, and overhearing it, Thorn acts like he can be their friends and brings the suit. Of course it is just another example of him being a shady asshole but Gryffen goes for it because he is a desperate moron. K9 and Starkey follow him for safety. Once there Gryffen gets his device, escapes with it from Thorn's grasp...and they discover that the ship held Korven.

What exactly is Gryffen scared of?  I thought he just feared leaving his mansion, but he can leave it as long as he is in a diving bell suit?  I don't really understand his whole deal.  Not that I really care either.  

This episode could be worse. I mean by K-9 standards I'd say this is a strong episode...but again those standards aren't high.  It is clearly an episode meant to serve as some set up for the final episodes of the show.
