It's the big finale for this dumb show, and it turns out Thorn is actually part alien or something and has been secretly plotting for a Korven invasion all along. He is using K-9's regeneration unit and Gryffen's STM to help his plan along, and he is seemingly unstoppable in destroying the Earth...because in order to stop the STM working you would need Gryffen to give a deactivation code in person, but he'd never leave the house would he?  Oh yes he would! If a final heroic gesture is on the line for the big finale.  Also he left the mansion in a previous episode already so it was never impossible. And Thorn should have realized that, as he was with Gryffen on his leaving the house adventure. 

Anyhow Gryffen heroically shows up and stops the invasion, K-9 sort of lazily shoots a big monster and sacrifices himself in the process, and the writers of the show gave Jorjie's mom and Darius some sort of weird awkward sexual tension which is very off-putting...but then again they began the show with Darius having awkward sexual tension with Gryffen so I suppose it is their bread and butter. 

K-9 is seemingly lost for good, and everyone gives their tearful goodbyes to the tin dog until he does have a last minute regeneration to make him a working dog again.  Happy endings abound. Luckily the show is never going to return to see how K-9's rebound is worthwhile.
