The Groovy 60s Baby

Story: K-9: The Cambridge Spy

Length: 30 Minutes

Jorjie is accidentally sent back into the 1960s because Gryffen is a mad scientist who is working on a time machine during a lightning storm. While there she meets Darius's great grandfather who looks exactly like him and tries to help her for no reason whatsoever...they are both thrown in jail and he is accused of being a Russian spy, for no reason whatsoever.  But if they can't rescue Jorjie and clear Darius' grandpa's name...Darius will cease to exist.

This is a fairly standard "whoops time travel" episode of any sci-fi program.  Someone goes back in time, screws up the timeline, have to put things right.  But this show is show cheap it can't afford to even do the "wow look at the fun ol' swinging 60s" because Jorjie appears in the 60s in a police station, and we spend the entire adventure there. She's only wearing period appropriate clothing because before she was zapped back she was doing a report on the 60s.  I don't know why she dressed up as her report but maybe she is just an idiot.

Honestly, just bland and forgettable.  This episode lacks anything fresh.  The time travel mix-ups are pedestrian and predictable, the entire episode trapped within a police station (most of which is a baron cell and interrogation room), and the "60s London" aspect really comes down to Jorjie sort of wore a mod outfit and K( keeps saying Austin Powers catchphrases.  It is so dumb.
