The finale to the Key To Time season is fairly strong. We meet another Time Lord and old friend of the Doctor's named Drax, who is rather entertaining. We get Princess Astra portrayed by Lalla Ward who will take over the role of Romana next season. Also we meet the Black Guardian as our main protagonist.
This story is really just a nice wrap of the Key to Time, which has us finding the final segment and putting the key together, and finally the Doctor realizing that the Key is too powerful for one being. He orders it to disperse to 6 different locations once again, and the White Guardian reveals he is in fact he is the Black Guardian. The Doctor installs a randomizer in the TARDIS in order to keep the Black Guardian off his trail.
The story has a really strong scene in which the Doctor seems to be unable to control himself under the power of the Key, which turns out to be false, but its well performed. Anyhow, strong end to a strong season.
