Doctor Who: Season 24 Recap

Weak season. Nothing validates that the firing of Colin Baker was a mistake more than just another shitty season. But really, its sort of a shame that the show fell apart after Davison left, especially since he got one of the best stories in the history of the show as his exit. So when a good Doctor goes out with such a strong story, and the very next thing starring the new Doctor is a total crapfest...whats wrong?

Things were rocky throughout Baker's time as the Doctor, so maybe it was time for a fresh start for the show. New Doctor, new companion, new writers, new directors, new Producers....

But none of that happened. All we got was a new Doctor, and everything else was exactly the same. Things were clearly in a bad way. It has been said that JNT did want to leave the show, but he had been told that it would be cancelled if he did, because no other producer would touch it.  Who knows if thats true (both that he wanted to leave or that no one else would take the job).  Now I know things start to slowly improve over the next two years, but they don't get so good that I think he shouldn't have just let the show die. History has played out though, and decisions were made...and all of them lead to where we are now...and now is a pretty damn good place.

Season 24 was another bad season to throw onto a pile of bad seasons accumulated over the late 70s and throughout the 80s. Time for Season 25.
