Story: The Curse of Fenric
Written By: Ian Briggs
Length: 4 Episodes
Year: 1989
This is probably the best story of the Seventh Doctor. He is dark and brooding, mysterious and thoughtful, and the story itself is classic Doctor Who, finally brought back to the fold. Unfortunately, its the penultimate story of the Classic series.
Its a shame that the production team started to get back to what was good about the show just as it is meeting its untimely doom.
This story has great characters, costumes, monsters, story, and uses location shooting throughout, so it looks great. It set the course for the New Adventures series of novels that followed the shows demise, the Seventh Doctor's brooding nature in his Big Finish audio dramas, and the feel of the new series when the show would finally would return. Its definitely a must see for New Who fans looking to see the classic series.
NEXT TIME: The End. Period.
