Doctor Who: Season 19 Recap

This was a fairly good season. Hits and misses all around, but I'd say the overall quality of the show was consistent, which is a real plus. It was a season of change, much like the season before it. This season saw the end of the sonic screwdriver, the death of a companion, and a brand new Doctor.

Peter Davison is nothing short of likable. I like his Doctor, even when his stories aren't the best and I feel like we aren't getting to know him in this debut season...there is still a quality that makes me like him. The outfit may be slightly bright and obnoxious compared to previous Doctor costumes...but compared to what followed him, he looks quite toned down.

The simple fact that unlike Season 18, Season 19 gels well because JNT and Davison got along. Davison may have had his differences and may have disagreed with some decisions, but he was a professional, and he did get along fine with JNT.

The good work ethic pays off, for this season is dull at at times, but it far more captivating than the previous season.
