"Galaxy 4" is a bit of a misstep, and one of the weakest season starters in Who history. Until recently, all 4 episodes are missing, with only an extended fragment and all the audio still surviving. Recently episode 3 was discovered, I hope to watch it someday, maybe get a new perspective on things. The story isn't really all that good, from what I remember...but I remember very little.
Of what I do remember, the whole story feels like a toy commercial...trying to make the Chumblies the next Daleks. This happened a lot in the early years trying to make the next monster an icon, like the Daleks...hoping that they could sell tons of comics, movie rights, and toys. The problem here is that the Chumblies feel like a cheap/weak/harmless version of the Daleks. They dont really DO anything.
In the end the story is sort of a waste, and had it not been trying to make Chumblie-mania...it could have maybe worked.
