Story: The Macra Terror

"The Macra Terror" has a great monster, and some good ideas, but somehow it isn't anything all that interesting. For four episodes it feels pretty padded. Apparently this was the first story to change the title sequence from the original, and therefore it was the first story to feature the Doctor's face in the opening titles. I believe this is supposedly true, but as no episodes actually exist its hard to tell. Although I guess the theme music was tweeked a bit as well.
At any rate, I didn't find this to be a particularly exciting serial...but again this could be a symptom of the recons and not the actual story. Its always so hard to tell with these missing stories. I'm a firm believer that all the missing episodes should get animated...even if we just animate one story a year for the next 27 years. But the search for missing episodes should continue indefinitely.
