Story: The Savages

This is a story which has a nice little moral tale. It also the first use of Part/Episode One subtitles in episodes, i.e. the story title is the title of every episode, whereas previous each episode in a story had a separate title. That aside, this story features a Utopian society with a dark secret, the exploitation of so called savages to keep their race idyllic. The Doctor is outraged and fights them as per usual. In the end the Savages and the Elders combine together to form a new union.
To help oversee and lead this union, they pick Steven to be their leader. The doctor agrees its for the best. Steven, despite planning to leave the Doctor earlier, is a little concerned of his abilities, but I think its the Doctor's faith in him that helps him decide to take the position. He has a pretty strong goodbye, which oddly enough fragments of exist.
Dodo is unsurprisingly useless.
