Story: The Time Monster

"The Time Monster" is a decent finale to Season 9, but like the majority of this season it isn't the all around best. As it features another plot of the Master and has yet another Pertwee vs. Delgado premise, it works well. The two just can not share a scene without being fantastic. I think it is wonderful that they found a villain that would become such close friends with the lead off screen, that they were able to create such a great rapport as Hero and Villain...with an unknown past.
The story itself is only okay, but it works well enough that you enjoy it while you are watching it. The ending is actually quite well done. Overall it just simply isn't up to the standard of Season 8 or the Sea Devils of this season, but it certainly is not a bad story like "Curse of the Peladon" or "The Mutants". It is sufficient.
