Doctor Who: Season Six Recap

Season 6 isn't Troughton's best season, that title goes to Season 5, but it is the Troughton season with the best survival rate, only 7 episodes missing, and 2 have been animated.

Although Season 5 had overall better stories and writing, the team of Second Doctor, Jamie, and Zoe worked much better than they did with Victoria. And their rapport makes season 6 work fairly well, even if the stories aren't as consistently good.

The Doctor does seem to really enjoy himself throughout season 6, and his punishment at the end of losing his friends, stuck on earth, and being forced to regenerate is rather harsh, and sets the tone for Jon Pertwee's Doctor, who is rather grumpier than Troughton ever was.

Season 6 was the end of an era.
