"The Web Planet" is probably my least favorite story from Season 2. Its 6 episodes long and has a story that warrants maybe 3 or 4 episodes at best. Too much padding. The costumes and sets are horrendous. It is a story I couldn't really suspend my disbelief for. I usually can, as Doctor Who is a fantasy show (much more so than sci-fi show), but this one is often too cheap for words...it just becomes a little too hard to ignore.
I may have to watch this again someday, give it a reassessment, but for now I'll just remember finding it to be a really dumb padded story with cheap sets and costumes that are unconvincing.
