Story: The Monster of Peladon
Written By: Brian Hayles
Length: 6 Episodes
Year: 1974
Ugh. This is pretty much just a repeat of "The Curse of Peladon", only the characters are somehow less interesting, and their isn't a nice rapport between the Doctor and his companion to fall back on (nothing against this team up, but Sarah Jane was much more fun to watch with Tom Baker than with Jon Pertwee). SKIP, one of the worst stories of Doctor Who, definitely of the Pertwee era, as it is just taking an old bad idea and rehashing it for 6 painstakingly long episodes.
Why are penultimate stories/episodes so often bad? I'm probably just not the right guy to talk to about Peladon stories...they seem to rub me the wrong way.
