Story: The Pirate Planet
Written By: Douglas Adams
Length: 4 Episodes
Year: 1978
First let me say - I'm a huge Douglas Adams fan. Before I was even a Who fan I was a Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy fan. So when I got so into Who, and then I discovered he wrote for, and even script edited, this show too. Needless to say I was pretty pleased. This is his first story contributed to the show, and he actually sold the Hitchhiker's radio show at the same time.
This story is a good effort, not the strongest Who in the world, but its good. Definitely exciting and fun while your watching it. The Pirates are weird but fun, and the twist of what the segment of the Key to Time actually turns out to be is pretty good.
All in all good effort from a guy I would never admit could do wrong, my hero - Douglas Adams.
