Now this is what I'm talking about. The kick off to the second series is absolutely fantastic. Not only does it feature a villain from the parent series...its a great one. A lone Sontaran verses Sarah Jane and Co. Bad ass. The talking down to the audience has all but left the series, and the action is top notch for a low budget childrens program.
We also say goodbye to Maria in this episode, who makes her final appearance as a regular character. Her father gets a job offer in America, and he decides to take it, Maria moves with him. So at the end of the episode she says her goodbyes, and we not only get a cracking story, but get rid of the weak link of the cast as well.
