The Sarah Jane Adventures - Series 2 Recap

Despite its lackluster and uneven finale, I think that this was a tremendous season, a definite improvement over the first. I think a lot of the success goes to the introduction of the character Rani, who is instantly more likable and believable than the previous main teen, Maria, ever was. She makes it more watchable.

Other than that I think the writing just stepped up a bit for this season. Gareth Roberts was replaced by Phil Ford as Head Writer, and that clearly made an impact.

This season turned me from a Doctor Who fan watching it just because...to a guy who actually couldn't wait for that next season to begin.

NEXT TIME: Rhino Police Force
