Story: Torchwoood: Day One

Good. Grief. So it's Gwen's first day on the job, and she releases a Sex Gas Monster from some meteorite. This episode is a Mess with a capital M. The story is to goofy for anyone to take it seriously, but they keep trying to throw in drama to make you feel emotions or something...but it comes off as boring and dull, and I feel nothing for nobody.
All the characterizations are all over the place, nobody seems all that consistent in these first season episodes. In this specific episode Gwen's morals and principals seem to change from scene to scene, she does effectively whatever Chris Chibnall needs her to do in each scene. So she can go from being the shy new girl to the heart of the team, to the seemingly rapist in the jail scene, back to being the only one who cares about the poor girl she just raped.
The whole story is nothing more than just fodder for 14 year old boys to jerk off to, which is something I can't say I'd ever want in the universe of Doctor Who...it just doesn't fit. Crappy crappy episode.
