Story: The Sarah Jane Adventures: The Lost Boy
Written By: Phil Ford
Length: 2 Episodes
Year: 2007
So for the final story of Series 1, we get a pretty solid end. I think its flawed more so than previous stories in the season. While I think the Slitheen work better in this series than in Doctor Who, I think they still bring down the stories a bit. Luckily the farting is mostly gone by this point in time.
The problem with this story is the slightly epic nature. They try to hard to make it epic. But not too epic...which is a major flaw in these spin offs. If Doctor Who wasn't always having his epic finales on Earth, maybe we could save those plotlines for the spin offs. But the other problem with the epic attempt is that the budget doesn't allow it the same way it does for Doctor Who and Torchwood.
Anyhow in the end Sarah is rather pleased with her new found life and makeshift family. Bring on the next series please.
