Story: Torchwoood: Reset

This is the first of a three episode arc that features Martha Jones. The Doctor got her a job at UNIT, and she is following up a lead on some unexplained deaths with Torchwood. This is a pretty good episode in itself, but what it brings to the rest of the series is big.
Martha and Owen get a good rapport going, and the whole episode shows everybody working to the best of their abilities in their fields. Owen and Martha working on the medical side of these deaths, Tosh trying to break in to the medical facilities computer database, Gwen leading the field investigation with Ianto assisting her, and Jack supervising all fields while touching base with everyone. Its a real team effort that comes through in this episode...everyone has their place and they are all good at their jobs. First time I really felt that way about Gwen too.
The end has Owen shot in the chest, and he dies almost instantly. This is the first time beyond Suzie, who hardly counts, that a regular has been killed. It was sort of a "oh wow nobody is safe" moment, and what it means for the rest of the series is pretty important.
